Yoga Teacher Development & Mentorship Program
Fall Programs begin September, 2010

Caroline offers mentoring and professional development for yoga teachers in the Greater Boston Area.  Individualized courses of study-- during a serious and committed period of at least 3 months- are specifically created to match the teacher’s goals.  The program can combine some or all of the following components:

--Development Discussions GroupsDiscussion groups take place at Caroline's office in Copley Square-- 581 Boylston Street, Boston, MA, 02116. The following workshops are limited to 6 participants and are free for those currently enrolled in a Mentorship program.  As space allows others can drop in for a $15 fee.  Here's what's on the schedule so far:

****Working with Physical Injuries.  This workshop will cover the basics of working with some common spinal injuries, sciatica, neck and shoulder issues, sore hamstrings, hip flexors and wrists.  Bring your questions!

****Hands-on Assists. This workshop will "attune your hands" to work with energy for extraordinary assists.  We'll also cover some great assists for use in any yoga class or style.

****Integrity, Boundaries & Ethics. So much is asked of the contemporary yoga teacher! We often find ourselves in multi-dimensional relationships with our students-- acting as therapists, counselors, friends, referral sources, colleagues, etc.  In this workshop we'll discuss the ethics of creating and maintaining appropriate boundaries and personal codes of ethics we can live by.

--More Intensive continuing education (both in workshop and private settings) in the areas of: connecting to your own teaching philosophy, hands-on assisting, sequencing, postural assessment, working with injuries, student/teacher boundaries, professional ethics, marketing & making a living, spirituality in the yoga room, holding space for your student’s emotional releases, classroom challenges and “difficult” students, group classes vs. private classes, demystifying and accessing “energy,” combining yoga with other therapeutic modalities, discovering your powerful teaching voice & more.  (These components will be facilitated in both private class and group workshop formats.)

--Resources and original written materials.

--Written assignments and readings relevant to your goals, challenges and curiosities.  Feedback on assignments provided.

--Classroom visits and direct feedback about your teaching. (If you are not yet teaching, a group or private class will be created for you.)

--One-on-one private meetings and phone appointments.

--Discounted admission and/or the opportunity to assist Caroline at her workshops and classes, as well as other professional opportunities.
